Monday - Friday full day
Hello and welcome to the Pre-Kindergarten Program at Country Dawn. My name is Erika Barajas and I will be your child's teacher starting this fall. I am looking forward to this new school year filled with excitement.
Let me tell you a little about myself for those of you who do not already know me. I began to work with the Pre-Kindergarten program when I first started working at Country Dawn back in 2012, then began my career as an Early Childhood education teacher later in 2015. I got married in 2017 to my husband Cris. In May 2019, we had our first child Samuel. I really enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy sports, singing and doing community service at church events.
I graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 2012. I graduated from Everett Community College with my Associates in Technical Arts in Early Childhood Education, and my certificates as well. I have completed my 20 hours STARS training and I am also certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid. While attending Everett Community College I took different types of classes to get to know your children better, such as Child Development, Guiding Behavior, Language and Literacy Development, and many more. Currently I am attending the University of Washington to pursue my Bachelors in Early Education.
During the first few weeks of class the children and us will be working on getting to know each other and their new schedule. A few of the things that we will be working on with your children is their social and emotional development along with solving problems and getting ready for Kindergarten. Students will also be practicing their fine motor skills by cutting, pasting, and learning how to use a pencil properly, along with learning their shapes and colors more in depth. These are just some things we will be working on this year.
I look forward to a great school year with your children. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to talk to me, email me at countrydawnerika@gmail.com or message me through Procare.

I am looking forward to meeting each of you, but first let me tell you a little about myself. I live in Lake Stevens with my two wonderful boys, Ethan and Chris. I love watching them grow and change. I enjoy gardening, watching movies and spending time outside with my family and friends.
